This time of their lives is when they really need us so much, and this book explains that and how to practically lead them through this season as they are approaching their own start to adulthood. So so good! I highly recommend it! So glad there is a book like this out there which does not tell us to throw our hands up and give up on our teens. Every page had something to learn from it. Even if you only sit down and read bits and pieces of this book, you will not regret it. Not only did he provide personal anecdotes, stories to illustrate his points, everything was based on scripture and had such a tone of encouragement and Godly, helpful perspective that just literally changed everything for me. I feel more equipped going into them becoming teenagers in several years than I did walking into the season of my oldest daughter already being 16 as I read this book for the first time. I’ve also actually been able to apply a lot of the principles to parenting my younger kids. It is a must read for a Godly, practical perspective on parenting and raising teenagers. I have recommended this book to all of my friends and so many have been just as blessed by it as I was. He knows this material so well and articulated exactly what he wanted to say and how he wanted it to come across. For starters, I loved that the author narrated the book himself.
